Zekiah Employees Lace Up for Double the Impact, Participating in Two Community 5K Events
Zekiah recently participated in two community 5K events: the Shamrock 5K Run/Walk on March 16 and the Beach to Beer 5K at Colonial Beach on October 19. These initiatives underscore the company’s commitment to employee wellness, community engagement, and supporting local causes. The Beach to Beer 5K event held in Colonial Beach benefited the Colonial Beach Arts, Music & Mentoring. Following this, our team hit the pavement for the Shamrock 5K Run/Walk event held in Bel Alton, MD. This second event benefited the “When I’m Better Foundation,” whose mission is to fund cutting-edge research and clinical trials that will lead to a cure for DIPG/DMG, while also advocating for those children battling and their families.
“Our commitment extends beyond our services; we believe in fostering a healthy, active culture among our employees and giving back to the communities where we live and work,” said Steve Bowling, President of Zekiah. “Participating in not one, but two recent 5K events is a testament to our team’s spirit and dedication.”
Participation in these events is part of Zekiah’s broader corporate social responsibility initiatives, which aim to promote healthy lifestyles, support local non-profits, and build stronger community ties. Zekiah encourages its employees to engage in activities that benefit both their personal well-being and the wider community.
