Zekiah adds Dr. Joe Homan as Chief Operating Officer

In anticipation of future growth, Zekiah Technologies has added Dr. Joseph V. Homan to its executive leadership team. Dr. Homan joins as Chief Operating Officer (COO) and brings nearly 30 years of experience in government contracting to the position. He will assume the COO role with the goal of preparing the company for significant expansion over the next several years. His focus will be on establishing and enhancing internal systems and processes to enable the company to obtain new business while continuing to deliver exceptional services to clients.

Dr. Homan has more than 15 years of experience in project and program management roles and 12 years in senior operations management roles. Most of his career has been in information technology and research and development – in areas as diverse as electronic commerce, energetics, logistics, security, energy, industrial base preparedness, and medical informatics.

He has managed programs up to $200M with 300 employees in software development, database management, and simulation modeling – primarily supporting department of defense and other federal government clients. In addition to managing programs and operations, he teaches project management courses in corporate and university settings.

Dr. Homan has a Bachelor’s degree in Geology from Miami University and an MBA in Logistics Management from Wright State University. He also earned a Master of Science degree in Engineering Management and a Doctor of Science degree in Information Systems and Communications, both from Robert Morris University.

He is a member of the Association of Information Technology Professionals (AITP), International Association for Computer Information Systems (IACIS), Project Management Institute (PMI), and SOLE – The International Society of Logistics.
