Dollins joins Zekiah Technologies to Lead GIS Integration Services
Bill Dollins chosen to lead Geographic Information Systems (GIS) integration development within Zekiah Technologies, Inc.’s software engineering organization.
Mr. Dollins has worked in the GIS field for more than eight years and comes to Zekiah Technologies as a principle. He will be responsible for building the GIS software development team and expanding client systems to include spatial interfacing and modeling. Mr. Dollins has developed systems to support all phases of the GIS lifecycle from data production and acquisition to spatial analysis and cartographic production for government and commercial clients. His recent focus has been developing a COM-based multi-tier architecture for the U.S. Navy that integrates spatial data into existing relational databases, provides tools for spatial mining, and provides application interfaces that allow the development of external modules which can extend system capabilities.
Dan Bowling, Vice President at Zekiah Technologies, said, “GIS technologies are moving from the workstation to the desktop PC and handheld computers, thus we will be able to offer our clients a geographic perspective in their software – anywhere from data and network analysis to remote asset and sensor tracking.”
